Artiste Sheren Tang (鄧萃雯) and Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) attended an event related to hotline launching event at To Kwa Wan on 3rd April 2018 and she used the recording method to promote about being kind-hearted people doing good deeds.
As the ambassador of the organisation committee, it was rare for Sheren to invite her old filming partner, Wayne and they wrote each other strengths immediately. Sheren wrote: “It does not matter and Wayne is an easy-going person.” Wayne wrote Sheren was a professional artiste who did her work seriously.
Asking if her female lead role was snatched by Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) in TVB new series, Wonder Woman (多功能老婆) produced by the screenwriter, Ella Chan Bo Wah (陳寶華), Sheren said: “Nobody approaches me to film the role character and nothing is confirmed anyway. It is Wayne’s fault as stories start to circulate after I am invited as the presenter during awards ceremony. (The public suspect the role character is tailor made for you?) Perhaps Ella has this thought and how can I tailor made the role character for myself?”
Sheren admitted she kept in contact with Ella and often met up in Beijing. She felt elated that Ella returned to TVB and it depended on a right opportunity although they kept saying about collaboration. Sheren said: “There is a chance as long as with the right script and role character. Artiste is very reactive and I am interested to act if there is a good script.”
It had been 7 years since Sheren filmed Beauty at War (金枝慾孽貳) series and she felt the “seven-year itch” (七年之癢) and was aware of their fans looking forward to Wayne and her next collaboration.
Wayne then suggested to film ancient series again as Sheren looked prettier but she preferred to shoot modern drama as it took lesser time to apply make up and the dialogue was simpler. Wayne rebutted: “Why not time travel drama? Anyway, there is a remake version of A Step into the Past (尋秦記) series now.”
