Many people are looking forward to Andy Lau’s (劉德華) concert (My Love Andy Lau劉德華World Tour-Hong Kong) in Hong Kong Coliseum from 15th December 2018 to 3rd January 2019. As his fans have been waiting for 8 years, the tickets for the 20 sessions of his concert are snapped up within a day and the ticket sales is opened to the public from 4th September.
Although there is few weeks before the tickets sale to the public, but the queues begin to form and the reporters discover there is cardboards and bottles outside Tom Lee Music (通利琴行) at Tsim Sha Tsui. Also on 26th August 2018, a killing incident happened while queuing at Youth Square.
Apparently, the black market for the concert tickets is getting out of control and a killing incident over the queue for Singaporean singer, Lin Jun Jie (林俊傑) also happened in early August.
Hence, Andy decides to shoot a video clip and deliver a serious speech: “Today, I heard of an unhappy news and it makes me feel totally uncomfortable. I hope my fans will buy my tickets safely and watch my concert happily. I know the organisation committee spends lots of time and it is hard to find a perfect collaboration opportunity. Hence, I will try my best to follow up the matter personally and hope the police will protect all Hong Kong citizens. The citizen should call the police if they feel unsafe and I urge everyone to remain calm and take note of your safety while queuing. Your safety makes me perform to everybody happily.”
