She was heavily groomed at the time and returned to TVB again after her contract ended in early 1987. When mentioned about the rumours that Yammie failed to separate her role character in The Greed of Man drama from reality, Michael said: “It has been a long time since I saw her and she has mood disorder illness as stated in the news. It is a pity and appears that everyone suffers from the same illness in the past 8 to 10 years. We know each other for 10 years and I can feel her pain and suffering in her life. Hopefully she will rest in peace and head for an ideal journey in another world.”

Revealing Yammie was classified as ravishing beauty since joining the industry, Michael said: “She is very beautiful and we can feel her happiness upon receiving the compliments. We feel happy for her as friends and it is an honour in the showbiz. Perhaps we have different experiences as newcomers and are only classmates, and not colleagues. It is an emotional moment and I really hope she will rest in peace and have a happy life.”

When asked if Yammie’s acting skills was considered outstanding during the acting course, Michael replied: “The course lasted for a year and we got to learn everything. We established a good foundation and had to go for examinations. Yammie was given the lead role immediately even as a newcomer because she was beautiful. It was her strength and an achievement. Honestly, every artiste has different styles and she gives me many memories. We used to have dinner in her house after shooting The Greed of Man drama and she always told me to focus on my work. Those were the memories as classmates.”

As many celebrities such as Raymond Chow (鄒文懷) and Yammie passed away lately, the chairman of Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild (香港演藝人協會), Louis Koo (古天樂) shared photo of a blue sky to mourn the veterans on Weibo and left an online message on 3rd November 2018: “2018 is considered a sad year to Hong Kong citizens and too many people passed away.
