Michael Miu (苗僑偉) turns 60 years old this year and continues to look cool and stylish. His “Chok” image is equally outstanding as Andy Lau (劉德華) and Louis Koo (古天樂). He said: “The mindset is the most important and we must remain positive. So what even if I turn 60 years old? I can still walk and jump around. Perhaps I have a happy childhood, get to play ball and explore outside.”

In order to remain active, Michael usually went for jogging and exercising in gym: “I hate having a belly and it is difficult to turn around after 50 years old. Despite having a stuntman when shooting action scenes, I must continue to train since required to walk and run.”

Michael was the eldest tiger of TVB’s Five Tigers consisting of Felix Wong (黃日華), Kent Tong (湯鎮業), Tony Leung (梁朝偉) and Andy. Other than reducing contact with Tony, he met up with others frequently and usually went for drinking together. They begun to nourish their bodies upon getting older and he said: “Andy takes care of his body very well and I always tell him to eat good food other than vegetables and oat meal since he earns lots of money. He then rebutted that he loved it and what am I going to do to him? I am speechless after that.”

When mentioned about their prime era, Michael expressed the public focused on Andy when both of them rejected to sign long contract with TVB at the time. We were “frozen” for more than a year and helped to distribute tickets for Alan Tam’s (譚詠麟) concert once.”

Subsequently, Michael tried to develop his career in movie industry and was arranged to make cameo appearances only. Fortunately, his spectacles shop business was satisfactory and he started to reject filming work after his eldest daughter was born.

After managing his spectacles shop business for 14 years, Michael’s acting career reached a high peak again since selling his business: “I become swollen after playing golf during my free time and have dinner with the television producer, Tommy Leung Ga Shu (梁家樹) frequently. He invited me to shoot The Academy (學警雄心) drama in 2004 and I make a comeback thereafter. I feel grateful to him and started to shoot one series per year and the audiences loved it. It increases my confidence which is a big motivation to me.”

In 2018, Michael filmed the web series, Flying Tiger (飛虎之潛行極戰) which achieved high rating record in China and became TV King based on Line Walker: The Prelude (使徒行者2) drama in Malaysia. He also promised not to retire easily.
