Around 300 artistes including Alice Chan (陳煒), Joe Ma (馬德鐘), Ali Lee (李佳芯) and Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪) were present at “poon choi” party organised by TVB at TV City on 13th December 2018. Alice expressed she planned to get her friends and fans to vote for her for TV Queen (視后) award: “Mandy Wong (黃智雯) and Ali Lee are hot favourites. I support Ali representing Who Wants a Baby (BB來了) drama but will vote for myself though. (Get your ex-husband to vote for you?) We keep in contact but I do not ask him to vote for me. (Heard that one of your former marriage problem was due to sexual intercourse in an interview?) I reckon he has not read the news yet and it is over anyway. No point talking about it.”

Mentioning about meeting Alice at the party, Ali believed Alice and Mandy were the strongest opponents and remained friends in private: “I do not hate them simply because of the competition.” She was clueless at increasing the votes and would be getting the audiences to support her during Christmas events. When suggested to take sexy photos so as to get the netizens’ votes, Ali laughed and said: “I will not do it but getting the people surrounding me and Danny Chan (陳炳銓) to vote for me. Perhaps I may sing songs but you must vote for me first.” As some news reported that she rejected to film new series and lose TV Queen award as a result, Ali replied she read the news and clarified she did not have low IQ: “I never reject to shoot any series and even film Who Wants a Baby drama after an operation. Although I declined to shoot new series (禍後) due to health problem, but I went for the location shooting for Assassin (殺手) drama in Taiwan and ended up with rashes after returning. My mood causes unbalance in my hormones and the doctor told me I had poor kidney and told me to lower expectations of myself. The problem comes from work stress and I intend to handle it in low-manner but it becomes such news instead. Honestly, I do other work as well and want to have additional rest.”
