Kay Tse (謝安琪) and Richie Ren (任賢齊) were invited to an activity at Tsim Sha Tsui on 18th December 2018. When mentioned about HMV went into liquidation, Kay replied she was unaffected even after releasing a new album lately. As a singer, she felt it was a pity: “I love going to CD store and enjoy different songs. The music era has changed and we must work harder to compose good songs. It is highly respectable and hopefully we can do something and make the local fans to buy CD again. (Consider to releasing songs online?) Have been trying to find ways to reserve and change at the same time and it is very depressing upon hearing the news.”

Checking if her husband, Louis Cheung (張繼聰) was affected as he worked for Stephen Shiu Jr. (蕭定一), Kay said: “Based on my knowledge, he focuses on filming movies and I need to check with him for full details.”

Revealing that HMV was closed down, Richie said: “People rarely buy CD nowadays. The era has changed and we are almost jobless as singers. Many people asked me if I am releasing new album and I questioned them if they buy it. Anyway, we need to change.”
