Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Chrissie Chau (周秀娜) have many action scenes in new film, Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy (葉問外傳:張天志) and it is quite eye-catching.

Both remained in good rapports as they worked together in Chinese film, Ip Man (葉問) 5 years ago. Kevin played a villain and was very violent towards Chrissie. It reminded him of a scene beating her up: “It was the first scene that I beat her up during the shooting on the first day. I am quite experienced in filming slapping people scenes in the drama and can control it quite well. But it is rejected and I have to slap her harder. I feel guilty immediately as her whole face is swollen.”

Chrissie revealed she begun to hear a buzzing sound after slapping thrice and Kevin’s palm print remained on her face: “Kevin is very good. I trust him and he makes sure I am mentally prepared every time. It is ironic to see his expressions and he keeps apologising to me after shooting the scenes.”

In order to make her role image realistic, Chrissie deliberately lost some weight and looked very fragile. They used the film director, Yuen Woo Ping (袁和平) name and felt happy to be beaten up: “Beaten up needs skills too.”
