Andy Lau (劉德華) was supposed to hold 20 sessions of the concert in Hong Kong Coliseum to mark the countdown to new year. However, he was forced to stop singing halfway through the concert due to a throat infection and losing his voice. After seeking treatment from the doctor, Andy had cancelled 4 sessions of his concert from 31st December 2018 to 3rd January 2019.

At night on 31st December, many customers came over to understand the situation and Hong Kong Coliseum staff revealed more than 10 people checked with them for details. They also begun to remove the stage and equipment for Andy’s concert.

As for his fans from Huizhou and Chengdu, they felt heart pain and rejected the refunds for their tickets: “Definitely feel disappointed and what matters most is Andy’s health. Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery and everything will run smoothly for him in 2019. Fighting!” Other fans from Fujian and Wuhan arrived as well and one male fan even pledged his loyalty to Andy forever. Lastly, 3 women and 1 man came from Beijing tried to understand the situation and took photos for memory.
