The Lady Improper (非分熟女) film starring Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) and Taiwanese actor, Chris Wu (吳慷仁) will be airing in the cinema from early April 2019. She is nominated for Best Actress (最佳女主角) Award for the same movie in Hong Kong Film Award (金像獎).
Apparently, it is based on a true story and Charlene had a face-to-face talk with the actual person, since playing the role character in the film: “I really want to know how she manages temperament disorder and relationship at the same time. Although we are strangers, but she is very friendly and gives me many background information which helps me to increase my understanding to the role character.”
When mentioned about the intimate scenes with Chris, Charlene explained it was required in the script: “It is because of the plot, role character and any improvements in my acting skills. I also need to reveal my body but to a certain limit only. It is obvious that Asia countries are more conservative when compared to Western countries and I really hope the audiences will focus on the message that the film is trying to convey, and not assuming the female lead is trying to gain something after revealing her body.”
In addition, Charlene was full of praises for Chris: “He is a very professional and serious actor. I have complete trust in him and have full respect for him.” As for Chris, he expressed the whole team and Charlene treated him very nice and it was a fun experience since participating in Hong Kong film for the first time.
