41 years old Lee San San (李珊珊) shared her fighting illness experiences at a sharing session to support her good friend, Vinci Wong (王賢誌) in February 2019. She remarked about the medical system in Hong Kong and planned to participate in more charity events: “At the time, I feel like I am fighting for survival and almost lost my life. Anyway, it is chaotic.”

On 19th April 2019, San San left an emotional message on Instagram: “The auntie who has been taking care of me in the hospital meets some problems. Upon visiting her in the afternoon, I realise it is hard to stay calm if your loved ones is in a critical condition. Sadly, it is a reality and our energy is reduced when working in this environment.” San San visited her again in the same evening and said: “Fortunately, there is some warmth this time and I can plan the next action. Perhaps some people asked the auntie about going to the toilet several times when I am about to leave. It makes me feel mad and the auntie deserves good care, but the only choice is “ignorance” instead.” Finally, San San told the auntie: “Please do not worry about disturbing other people. Press the bell if you need to go to toilet. #a system failure and environment #staff are suffering #difficult times for the patients #hopefully my loved ones stay safe.”
