Raymond Lam (林峯) and Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) played the main leads in new drama, Police Tactical Unit (PTU機動部隊) and the press conference was held in Beijing on 6th May 2019. It has been 5 years since he films Hong Kong series. Raymond wore a red colour top and appeared to be in a good mood. He acceded to the host’s request to say tongue twisters in Cantonese and compete with Lam Suet (林雪鬥) by saying Tianjin words.
As Raymond will be filming TVB anniversary drama, Line Walker 3 (使徒行者3) soon, but ViuTV takes the lead to broadcast Police Tactical Unit series starring him via the channel (黃Viu煲劇平台) on 9th May. Coincidentally, TVB will be airing its new drama, PTU 2019 (機動部隊2019) portraying Matt Yeung (楊明) and Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) and it clashes with Raymond’s new series based on similar theme.
Apparently, it is the first time for Raymond to wear uniform in Police Tactical Unit drama since joining the industry: “I finally have the chance to wear the uniform and feel very honoured.” He praised the production team did a meticulous job about the uniform which made him felt like a real cop: “I remembered we were filming the scene of conducting a check and the real policemen were doing the same duties as well. They were puzzled about another police team and realised we were acting. They even praised our uniforms looked very nice.” Raymond revealed he played an undercover and went through the training again in order to find the original purpose of becoming a cop. He felt it was challenging when trying to differentiate the black and white areas.
In addition, it is the first time for Charlene to film Hong Kong drama and she showed her support despite her absence at the press conference: “It is my first web series and it is a pity that I am not here, but we are able to interact though. Haha.” As for Lam Suet who won Best Supporting Actor (最佳男配角) Award in Golden Bauhinia Awards (金紫荊獎) based on similar drama previously, he said: “PTU means law enforcement and it is our duty to catch the criminals.
