Because of Jacqueline Wong’s (黃心穎) scandal, the new drama, The Offliners (堅離地愛堅離地) starring Owen Cheung (張振朗) is suspended and he is rumoured to be very furious upon knowing it. As for another new series, Finding Her Voice (牛下女高音), it is ordered to re-shoot and Kong Ka Man (江嘉敏) will be replacing Jacqueline’s role.
However, a new wave arises when the previous one has barely subsided. On 19th May 2019, Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) was exposed to date a married man, Raymond Young (the director of a nightclub) and her image is definitely affected, despite clarifying that she did not steal anyone’s husband.
In 2017, Elaine begun the shooting for Justice Bao: The First Year (包青天再起風雲) drama and played a female coroner. She was Bao Zheng’s (包拯) wife and a good friend of Zhan Zhao (展昭) acted by Owen in the series. If TVB decides to change their course of action because of the scandal again, it will be Owen’s third drama which is implicated.
On the same day, Owen replied to the reporters when asked if the second scandal would cause his drama to be suspended again: “No notification yet and will be waiting for the company’s arrangement. Thank you.”
During TVB Sales Presentation 2019 (2019無綫節目巡禮), TVB introduced Justice Bao: The First Year drama but it had a low chance to broadcast this year, as the copyright was sold to Mainland China immediately after the shooting and they were waiting to air at the same time after obtaining the approval.
In addition, Raymond’s wife, Sarika Choy (蔡宛珊) works for Bob Lam (林盛斌) who replied to Apple Daily HK (蘋果) on the same day: “We start to work together in 2015 and she is very professional, but I am unsure about her personal affair though. I give her many work opportunities and she enjoys good income. Lately, she hosts ViuTV show and I know she separated with her husband in 2017. I have no clue about the exact details until reading the news today.”
