Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), Chris Lai (黎諾懿), Babyjohn Choi (蔡瀚億), Brian Chow (周國豐), Ms Virginia Lok (樂易玲), Xue Zhi Lun (薛芷倫), Philip Keung (姜皓文), Lydia Tong (唐貝詩) and Kelly Fu (傅嘉莉) were invited to a wine party celebrating Ming Pao’s (明報) 60th anniversary year at JW Marriott Hotel on 20th May 2019.
Chris promoted his tour show (懿想得到) which took place in Japan and Malaysia for location shooting. Because of Jacqueline Wong’s (黃心穎) scandal, he was forced to approach Matt Yeung (楊明) to replace her and re-shoot in Malaysia earlier. The shooting was wrapped up after 2 months and Chris gained 10kg as a result: “I ate kaiseki ryori in Japan and cannot finish every meal. However, I love the food such as prawn noodles, Bak kut teh and durians in Malaysia. I can eat 3 durians at once and there is many different types of durians.” Hence, he tried to lose weight upon returning to Hong Kong.
TV King, Wayne expressed he was busy with stage performance and filmed a Chinese drama last year. It would be airing in Mainland China and he needed to promote the series over there. When asked if he planned to shoot Hong Kong drama again, Wayne said: “Nope. It depends on the destiny and cast team. It is quite meaningless to work with similar cast team again.” He added he had been watching Forensic Heroes III (法政先鋒III) series starring him since rebroadcasting by TVB lately. Although it took place 7 to 8 years ago, but the costumes and pace remained satisfactory.
As for Babyjohn, he set up a company with his friends after his contract with Stephen Shiu Jr. (蕭定一) company expired after end April 2019. He joined the industry for 7 years and opening a firm was a new challenge to him: “I liaise the work and contract personally. I will be continuing my on screen performances and trying back end operations as well.”
