Maggie Cheung (張可頤) turned 50 years old in March 2019 and was one of the “fadan” in TVB in the past. As she begun to reduce her on-screen appearances from 2012, many Hong Kong audiences missed her performances. She performed in the stage play with Tse Kwan Ho (謝君豪) lately and when mentioned about re-broadcasting TVB drama, Forensic Heroes III (法證先鋒III) starring her as the female lead, Maggie replied she would consider to make a comeback if encountering a good script such as Kara Hui’s (惠英紅) role in The Defected (鐵探) series.
Despite at 50 years old, Maggie maintains her youth well and continues to have deep passion in exercising. Her relationship status has always been the attention of the media and she broke up with her manager (陳容森) as he fell in love with a Taiwanese female star, Rachel Fu (傅天穎). Subsequently, Maggie dated a financial guru (曾安邦) for 3 years and they ended the relationship unexpectedly, when their engagement rumours were circulating At the time, she was known as one of the four “fadan” with Gigi Lai (黎姿), Kenix Kwok (郭可盈) and Ada Choi (蔡少芬) in TVB and all except for herself are married and have children. Many people feel it is a pity for Maggie.
During an interview lately, Maggie felt happy with her single life as she had her family, friends and colleagues to accompany her. She believed getting married was not important in this era and left a message on Weibo previously: “Perhaps we are growing up and do not really need a man but someone whom we can confide in.”
