Because of “On Sum” scandal, the new drama, The Offliners (堅離地愛堅離地) starring Owen Cheung (張振朗) and Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎) was suspended and it was highly likely that Finding Her Voice (牛下女高音) drama became the warehouse series as well. Hence, Owen is named as “hell prince” (地獄黑仔王) but his new drama, Justice Bao: The First Year (包青天再起風雲) is finally airing. He played Zhan Zhao and promoted it together with Shaun Tam (譚俊彥), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Hugo Wong (黃子恆) and Katy Kung (龔嘉欣) on 15th July 2019.

When asked about his mood, Owen said: “Feel overjoyed and it has been two years since my last on-screen appearance in Legal Mavericks (踩過界) drama. (Waited very long?) Yes, I believe the god has its arrangement and the company will definitely air the series once filmed. (You are named as “hell prince”?) Can I get rid of this title?” Shaun then made fun of him and said: “I am very dark but you are still darker than me.” Owen said again: “It is quite interesting and Nick Cheung (張家輝) is my idol after watching The Conman 2002 (賭俠2002) film. (You are affected because of Jacqueline?) Honestly, I am not mad at anybody and it is my character. I wonder if I have “fan tai sui”. (“Fan Tai Sui”?) Yes, I believe so as my zodiac sign is rabbit. Anyway, it does not matter and is over now.” Shaun showed his support: “He is full of positive energy and will be mad at himself if failing to do his part well.”

Mentioning about the protestors accused TVB because of a pro-Beijing bias in its coverage of the political crisis, Owen replied he was unaffected and would be singing in a cruise ship later and Shaun would be performing in Malaysia. Checking if they planned to promote the drama in a shopping mall, both responded they left it to the company to handle.
