The government under Carrie Lam (林鄭) is on “strike” for the past two months and fails to respond to the demands raised by the citizens. The conflicts between the police force and citizens is becoming adverse and a video clip of a young man dressed in black top standing outside Tai Wo Hau station was arrested by the cops and pinned on the ground went viral at night on 25th August 2019. He was suspected for assault and asked them if it was necessary to use violence.

Anthony Wong (黃秋生) forwarded the video clip and asked the policemen: “What do you want? Making the situation worse and becoming famous in overseas? You have succeeded! I heard from my grandmother that the passer-by had to bow to the Japanese army during the war and the soldiers will hit you if fail to do that. All of you have succeeded again!”

In addition on the same night, a cop used his left hand to shoot at the citizen upon seeing the protestors at Tsim Sha Tsui. A man kneeled down to the policemen not to fire and a cop dressed in ordinary outfit kicked him instead. Denise Ho (何韻詩) forwarded the video clip on Facebook and said: “Thank you uncle. You are a hero! I have to rely on myself when the entire police force is crazy.”
