Since the 2019 Hong Kong anti-extradition bill protests in June 2019, many demonstrations are ongoing and the conflicts between the police force and citizens in Hong Kong are becoming worse. As the discussions related to the cops using violence went viral, many artistes expressed their thoughts and former TVB actor, Ho Chun Hin (何俊軒) uploaded a short video clip online to show his support for the police force on 1st September 2019.

In the beginning of the clip, Chun Hin explained that the protesters used violence towards the cops and they suffered injuries as a result: “Thank you to the police for working hard. I am rooting for you!” Although he played supporting lead roles in many TVB drama, but Chun Hin acted as a policeman and wore the uniform several times.

Chun Hin understood the difficulties of being a cop: “It is hot when wearing the uniform and they cannot go back home after working for more than 30 to 40 hours. Perhaps the police force is in the wrong but it depends on the party creating the problems first. If the citizens are protesting in a civilised manner, the conflicts will not happen and vandalism is currently happening everywhere. Anyway, it is illogical.”

In addition, Chun Hin mentioned about raising the requests in a gentle and peaceful manner but not using violence: “Why are you sealing the road? Fine, since there is a large group of people crossing the road. Why do you force the train station to close as well? Okay, you are stopping people from reporting work and why are you creating congestion in the tunnels? Let’s talk about airport now. Hong Kong is an international market and the tourists are visiting Hong Kong only. Why are you preventing them to take the flight? What will you do if it happens to your family? I am clueless about many stuff but understand the actual colour of myself now.”
