Shaw Brothers Studio drama, Flying Tiger (飛虎之潛行極戰) received excellent responses upon airing in Mainland China last year. Hence, the filming for the sequel (飛虎之雷霆極戰) begun and new members such as Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and Lawrence Ng (吳啟華) were invited to join in. As the last collaboration between Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Kenneth was Triumph in the Skies (衝上雲霄) series 16 years ago, many fans looked forward to Flying Tiger II drama. The first season was broadcasted through Youku and MyTV SUPER in April 2018 and TVB Jade in May 2018 but there is a different arrangement this time. On 6th September 2019, Flying Tiger II series aired its debut on Youku but no broadcasting period is confirmed in Hong Kong. The audiences suspected it was because of the conflicts between the police force and citizens and TVB tried to avoid airing drama related to the cops.

Flying Tiger II series is broadcasted in China suddenly but there is no promotion activity and the cast team members are advertising it on Weibo. When asked about the sudden arrangement to air in Mainland China during an interview with Ming Pao (明報), Kenneth said: “It is not out of a sudden and is arranged to air in Youku in September long ago. (TVB avoids to broadcast it?) I have no idea.”
