Jacqueline Wong’s (黃心穎) image is completely tarnished and it marks an end to her career since the “On Sum” (安心偷食) with married man, Andy Hui (許志安) is exposed in April 2019. According to the new source, she decided to withdraw from the show business in Hong Kong and become a property agent in the US. Although her role in Forensic Heroes IV (法證先鋒IV) drama is replaced by Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯), but TVB decides to broadcast another new series, Finding Her Voice (牛下女高音) starring Jacqueline and it becomes the anniversary drama. During the promotion activity on 17th October, Owen Cheung (張振朗) said: “I feel happy it is airing and I am considered “breaking free from hell” now. It is my first time to play the lead role in The Offliners (堅離地愛堅離地) drama and hopefully it will be broadcasting soon.”
On the following day, Apple Daily HK (蘋果) discovered The Offliners series will be making its debut on Malaysia Astro AOD which was collaborated with TVB on 18th November. The channel focuses on airing TVB drama for 24 hours. At the same time, Malaysia media reported the same news and The Maid Alliance (丫鬟大聯盟) series will be taking over immediately on 16th December. However, Chinese drama, Legend of the Phoenix (鳳弈) is broadcasting right after Finding Her Voice series in Hong Kong.
Upon knowing the news, some Malaysian audiences posted their messages: “We dislike Jacqueline and Finding Her Voice drama is boring because of her. We do not want to see Jacqueline in Malaysia and have you thought about our feelings? Nobody is watching her drama in Hong Kong and it is the same in Malaysia. You might as well change it to warehouse drama for 10 years before airing it.”
