Selena Lee (李施嬅) joins the entertainment industry for 16 years and her popularity increases after filming Barrack O’Karma (金宵大廈) drama lately. Although her career is developing well, but her love life remains dry until now. Since ending her 5 years relationship with Patrick Tang (鄧健泓) in 2009, Selena is still waiting for her Mr Right to appear. When asked about her ex-boyfriend, Patrick during an interview with a radio station earlier, she said: “I admit I want to have a relationship in the past and it does not matter now. Perhaps it gives me a sense of security when working alone. Honestly speaking, he is not really my type but a talented and thoughtful person though. At the time, my father’s business failed and I felt easily touched when someone showed concern for me. We lack of common interests and should part our ways long ago. There is many unhappy memories and negative energy for the past 5 years. Many friends urge me to give up the relationship but it is hard for me as we are always together. I finally make the first step and have a break once pursuing my studies in Canada.” After the separation, both remained as friends and promised to help each other if any problems.

Mentioning about choosing wealthy boyfriend as her preference, Selena dismissed it and said: “Everyone knows I am not such person. I do not really have any special criteria and it is sufficient that my partner can tolerates my temper. Plus I am a workaholic and frequent traveller. I used to wish I will settle down before 30 years old and taking things easy now since my parent does not give me any pressure. What matters most is my partner understands me. (Did your good friends introduce any men to you?) I hope Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) and Nancy Wu (胡定欣) will find their partners soon and think it is harder for Nancy, as she is a smart and strong woman. She is pickier than me and it is not easy for an intelligent woman to find a boyfriend. I really hope both will find their true love quickly.”

When reminded that she changed her Chinese name from Li Sze Wan (李詩韻) to Lee Sza Wa (李施嬅), she felt slightly emotional and said: “My granny gives me the name, Li Sze Wan and my parent prefer Lee Sze Wa. After she passed away, I realise it is a meaningful name and everyone feels I am silly to change my name after joining for 10 years. The company also objects to it but my decision is firm as I believe it will give me lots of stuff. Because of this issue, I offend somebody and it affects my career as a result.”
