The soup restaurant invested by Matt Yeung (楊明) advertised by using a poster of a curry product which was involved in copyright infringement. The distributor of Blue Elephant (泰國藍象) in Hong Kong and Macau issued a warning and demanded the restaurant to remove all promotion activities related to Blue Elephant within 2 weeks. Otherwise, it will take legal actions. Upon replying to the media, Matt emphasised his restaurant only used one of its seasoning products and did not violate the copyright at all. He added he had taken down the products in all branches related to Blue Elephant once receiving an email from the distributor on 21st January 2020, but will continue to use the curry sauce from the brand company.
