Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎) escaped to America and rested for 6 months after the scandal was exposed last year. She returned to Hong Kong in end 2019 and celebrated the festive seasons with her family within 2 months. It is obvious TVB is paving the road for her to make an on-screen comeback as Finding Her Voice (牛下女高音) becomes the anniversary drama, and it is airing Handmaidens United (丫環大聯盟) series as well.
In Handmaidens United drama, Jacqueline played Florence Kwok’s (郭少芸) maid and she accepted an interview from the radio show (1圈圈) earlier. Florence confessed she heard about the series might be suspended but tried to remain positive: “I was worried initially and it does not matter as long as I am getting paid. I have many scenes with Jacqueline and she is indeed a very hardworking actress. She feels very nervous as it is her first time to play the female lead and I try to help her as much as I can. (Jacqueline is heavily ill during the shooting?) Yes, she has a heavy flu and I told her not to sleep on the cold and dirty floor. She also insists to wrap up the scene on that night.”
When mentioned about her love life and previous rumours with Vinci Wong (王賢誌) and Gordon Lam (林家棟), Florence dismissed it and only confessed about dating on-screen writer (鍾國強) for 3 years. She explained many stuff changed suddenly and handled the relationship poorly once leaving TVB at the time. Both remained as friends and Florence had a dry love life for 20 years after the separation: “Somebody is taking photos of me. I have a new partner and it can be either long or short.”
