On 26th January 2020, 43-year-old Pierre Ngo (敖嘉年) announced that he had left TVB through his Weibo account and Buddies Do Big Things (伙記辦大事) is his last drama. He left a message: “Finally completed all my work! Upon recalling the experiences for the past few years, I must be grateful and all my achievements are because of “him”. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to grow up and it is not easy at all. I agree when somebody describes here as Shaolin Temple and it is indeed a special training place. Thank you to everyone for helping me. Although the future is full of uncertainty, but I leave it to destiny and will be a nobody without TVB. Thank you and hope to see you all again soon.”
In 1998, Pierre joined TVB and hosted the show, Focus On Focus (城市追擊). Subsequently, he gained popularity after filming Rosy Business (巾幗梟雄) series in 2009 and won Most Improved Male Artiste (飛躍進步男藝員) Award during TVB Anniversary Awards (萬千星輝頒獎典禮). After one year later, Pierre was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (最佳男配角) Award based on No Regrets (巾幗梟雄之義海豪情) drama.
