Chow Yun Fat’s (周潤發) deceased mother Chan Lifang (陳麗芳) passed away peacefully at 98 year old on 13th February 2020. A few days ago, Yun Fat and his family held a funeral for Lifang at Po Fook Hill Cemetery and the cremation was proceeded on 7th March. It was Lifang’s wish to organise the funeral in a low-key manner when she was alive.
On 8th March, Yun Fat continued to go for hiking with Dick Liu (廖啟智), Michelle Yim (米雪), Michael Ning (白只) and others and looked for food at Kowloon City thereafter. After parking his vehicle, Yun Fat bought some buns and led the team to buy noodles and dried food. He did not wear any face mask and buy some pastries before leaving.
An Apple Daily HK (蘋果) reader named Mr Cheng (程先生) reported through (爆相爆片) that he saw Yun Fat wore a black outfit with cap at Kowloon City around 10.30am. He was very friendly and eating while walking: “I saw Yun Fat and his friends visited several shops and were eating while carrying stuff. They did not wear face masks and leave Kowloon City around an hour later.”
When Apple Daily HK contacted Dick through telephone and mentioned about the presences of Yun Fat and Michelle at Kowloon City on the same day, he said: “We continue our hiking even during the virus period. (How is Yun Fat’s mood after his mother passed away?) They are very close and it is definitely a big blow to him. But he remains positive and believes it is a blessing for his mother to live a long life and pass away peacefully. (Where did you go for hiking?) We go to less crowded places and the destination does not matter.”
