During the press conference on 27th July, Chief Secretary for Administration Matthew Cheung (張建宗) announced all customers were disallowed to dine in except for choosing delivery services only.
When asked if the restrictions affected Matt Yeung’s (楊明) soup business, he said: “I read the news that it will take effect from 29th July. Right now, we will promote and focus on delivery services.” He added the government will be reducing the opening hours so that the staff could stay at home: “Let’s see how it goes after the virus has ended.”
As for Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), he has a pub restaurant and said: “We have no choice but to take one step slowly. It definitely affects the business and I will give some discounts such as 30% for delivery services.”
