Hong Kong government announced all cinema are closed from 2nd to 15th December due to fourth wave of COVID-19. New film, Shock Wave 2 (拆彈專家2) starring Andy Lau (劉德華) and Sean Lau (劉青雲) will be premiering on 24th December and it is unaffected at this moment.
Earlier, film director Herman Lau (邱禮濤) disclosed the sequel had many action scenes including explosion in Hong Kong airport. In an anti-terrorism scene, the production team hired around 100 extra and rented more than 10 ambulances, police cars and fire engine. During the shooting on that day, they wore full uniforms and Ron Ng (吳卓羲) who played a cop perspired heavily, after running around for a location shooting at the Central.
When mentioned about action scenes, Ron said: “I must withstand it even having poor stamina. What matters most is the effects. To me, it is not many action scenes and the most suffering person should be the film director, as he needs to take care of many stuff in a major scene.”
Ron added he felt honoured to work with movie king Sean and said: “In the first season, I film many scenes with Andy and get to work with Sean this time. Both are my idols and I usually stand at one corner to watch their acting and believe it will enrich my knowledge.”
