Artistes’ favourite social media is no longer Instagram but Tik Tok now. Other than updating on Weibo, Chinese stars also have to upload video on Tik Tok to increase their popularity. In addition, there is higher chances of the companies approaching them to sell their products with high remuneration. Apparently, the remuneration is better than a month wages at television station.

However, it is difficult to attract and retain the audiences with short video. Hence, several artistes have to record video in humorous methods and it makes them embarrassing at times. After all, everyone needs to earn a living and nobody will shoot it, if there is zero views.
