Because of COVID-19, Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) has been staying in Mainland China last year and accepts the invitation from TVB to become Creative Director thereafter. During the interview from the show (舊日的足跡) earlier, Cho Lam expressed he will be seeing everybody in Hong Kong again and might be filming ancient drama with Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) and Hubert Wu (張振朗) soon.

As his career was developing well in China, Cho Lam confessed he did hesitate before accepting the invitation: “I have been discussing with Eric Tsang (曾志偉) for a long time and the chairman is full of sincerity. Hence, I think it is time to return home and better than shooting lunar new year film. Eric used to work long hours in the past yet chooses to accept new job when about to retire. Nevertheless, it is my greatest wish to provide entertainment to the audiences in Hong Kong again. Money is not everything and it is considered a rare opportunity. Deputy General Manager keeps persuading me to come back and I do not mind earning less income.”

When asked if his return to Hong Kong was to catch up with the pace in China, Cho Lam replied the resources and talents were better than here and hoped to expand local market by using his knowledge in China: “Hong Kong programmes continue to have sincerity but the resources might be limited because of lower investments. Thus, it is harder to groom talented people.” Mentioning about politics in the company raised by Liza Wang (汪明荃), Cho Lam had received the instruction and would try his best to unite all employees: “Sharing is the most important. Hope all colleagues will share and grow up together and my marriage is a good example.”
