On 25th February, Edwin Siu (蕭正楠) attended the promotion activity for a food show, Tasting Menu and cooked flame-fried onions in front of Michelin chefs.
As he was forced to be under quarantine due to one staff infected with COVID-19 while hosting a food show last year, Edwin said: “It is worth to make a sacrifice for the program. It is indeed suffering during quarantine period as I realise I could not eat anything that I want. At the time, I really wish to cook together with other chefs and it is a rare opportunity to learn from them. I do not need to go for lessons and save lots of money.”
Edwin also disclosed his wife Priscilla Wong (黃翠如) was promoted to a “chef” and her culinary skills showed an improvement: “During lunar new year, she makes turnip cake and “nian gao” and it is alright. Haha. (Wishing to have a son as learning to cook pork knuckles and ginger stew?) I wonder if I can distribute pork knuckles and ginger stew this year and prefer to let nature take its course. We intend to travel overseas once the lockdown is over and do not have other plannings at the moment.”
