After participating in 1991 Ms Hong Kong pageant, 49-year-old Elaine Ho (何婉盈) was given many working opportunities in TVB. After 5 years later, she withdrew from show business, became a teacher followed by working in racecourse and investment sector. Recently, Elaine makes an on-screen comeback and sings Andy Lau’s (劉德華) classic song, Emotionally Restricted (情感的禁區) in music project (音樂永續計劃). She also disclosed Andy’s encouragement made her felt touched during an interview in a radio show (1圈圈 星光背後) hosted by Terry Leung (梁泰來).

When mentioned about becoming a singer, Elaine confessed she had poor singing skills at the time: “I remembered I was scolded after singing poorly once. Subsequently, Andy walked over to me at the backstage and consoled me that it was normal to experience ups and downs in one’s life. He then left after patting me and wishing me good luck. (Happened in 1992?) Yes. I feel extremely touched and wonder if Andy still remembers it.”

Asking if she regretted about announcing her 3 years relationship with her old love Marco Ngai (魏駿傑) at the peak of her career as he humiliated her that they had no intimate contacts during their romance, Elaine said: “It did not cross my mind. I forget if we agree to announce our relationship together. Anyway, it is pointless to cry over split milk. (This failed romance affects your career?) Yes, but no choice. Perhaps it will be better if we have an underground relationship. (Regret to date Marco?) It is meaning to pursue responsibility at this age. It is a normal process in everyone’s life and we have to bear the consequences. Let’s not talk about it.”
