On 20th May, Joe Ma’s (馬德鐘) wife, Cheung Siu Lan (張筱蘭) released her new book (健康長壽：香港實證研究) and encouraged everyone to become vegetarian so as to stay healthy at the sharing session. They invited their good friends such as Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Joel Chan (陳山聰), Pierre Ngo (敖嘉年), Catherine Chau (周家怡), Toby Chan (陳庭欣) and Queenie Chu (朱慧敏) as the guests. Annie Liew’s (廖安麗) ex-husband, Alain Yip (葉青霖) who became a monk also turned up and shared his health knowledge.
Nancy expressed she might learn from Joe and Siu Lan and become a vegetarian: “I am turning 40 year old soon and realise the importance of health. I feel my body changes 5 years ago and try to exercise frequently, restrict my diet and adjust my mindset. As a celebrity, I hope I will be able to convey the importance of health message to the youngsters.”
She also confessed it was hard to change her habits because of her work: “I am thinking of becoming a vegetarian and might change it slowly. I seldom eat fried food in order to maintain good skin but love drinking though. Hence, I will try to cut down on drinking.”
When mentioned about her love life, Nancy appeared relaxed and said: “Dating? One must stay healthy in order to do other stuff. Anyway, it is best to let nature take its course. (Freezing your “eggs” now since you are in a good condition?) I have no plan yet. I feel happy to see my friends get married and have babies.”
