On 21st June, cast team members including Kelly Fu (傅嘉莉), Fred Cheng (鄭俊弘), Benjamin Au (歐陽偉豪), Lee Shing Cheong (李成昌), Max Cheung (張達倫), Mary Hon (韓馬利) and Yen To (杜燕歌) were present at a worshipping ceremony for TVB new drama (凶宅清潔師), co-produced by Tony Hung (洪永城), Stephen Cheng (C君) and Tommy Loz (盧思麟).
As it was Tony and Stephen’s first time to produce a series, they suffered from tremendous pressure and Tony disclosed it was an obstacle to produce the script: “When I heard about cleaning haunted houses 2 years ago, I feel the theme is refreshing but rejected by the company 5 times after submitting the script. Hence, Tommy and I edit it for many nights and TVB finally approves it after discussing for 6 months. Fortunately, there are 2 more co-producers and we feel grateful to all team members for giving their valuable opinions.”
Stephen is the on-screen writer and expressed others assumed he will write a comedy script: “However, it turns out to be opposite and has suspenses. Every episode has a frightening story and I do not mind the props, production and cast teams approaching me to amend the script. I remind myself it is for improvements and amendment is not a bad news. In fact, I am afraid of watching horror movies and have no choice for production. I feel scared even when driving and taking elevator and request to conduct a meeting before the weather turns dark. Thus, my wife is my chauffeur and I will use her feedback as a benchmark after editing the drama.”
When mentioned about losing weight, Kelly revealed she lost 10 pound while taking care of her father in the hospital earlier: “I feel relieved that my dad is discharged from the hospital and we celebrate father’s day together.” She added she played a daring key opinion leader (KOL) and explored haunted places such as abandoned school, military camp and building: “I feel so terrified that I dare not go to the washroom during the filming.”
