On 28th July, Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健), Catherine Chau (周家怡), Chin Ka Lok (錢嘉樂), Feanna Wong (黃淑蔓), Isabella Chang (陳海寧), Cloud Wan (雲浩影) and Gladys Li (李靖筠) attended a pre shooting ceremony for new film (深宵閃避球) at Tai Po District. EEG boss, Albert Yeung (楊受成) was present and prepared a birthday cake for Catherine.
As Ekin and Ka Lok played dodgeball coaches, Ekin pointed it was a meaningful movie which promoted positive energy and reduced communication barriers. Asking if he avoided relationship problems when young, Ekin replied in an embarrassing manner: “Actually, I have been avoiding it even until now. Anyway, I have forgotten about it and it is resolved now.”
When mentioned about society problems, Ka Lok believed film director made the right movie to produce the film as it encouraged the youngsters to set their goals: “I always teach my kids to face the problems bravely and set their goals as it makes a big difference in their lives.”
Stating about working with a group of young artistes as veteran actors, Ekin responded he used to host kids show and it was easy to communicate with them: “I have slow reaction but they are very proactive and we chat together happily.” As for Ka Lok, he confessed there was a generation gap: “They are afraid of us because of our experiences. Anyway, generation gap is not a terminal illness and they will joke with me once familiar with us. In the past, we make fun of opera artistes and the youngsters describe us as veteran actors.”
Ka Lok added it was not difficult to communicate with the youngsters and would try to mingle with them by learning their slang words. Ekin expressed it was best to upgrade themselves and treat them to tea: “I used to treat them to lemon tea and pineapple buns and have to replace with bubble tea and cheesecakes now.”
