Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) lost Best Actress in a Leading Role (最佳女主角) Award but won TVB Star Awards Malaysia My Favourite TVB Actress in a Leading Role (馬來西亞最喜愛TVB女主角) Award.

During an interview, she expressed she did not feel disappointed: “I feel grateful to attend this awards ceremony and unsure when I will be coming back again. Perhaps I might not have a chance to attend the ceremony. Today, I am well prepared and understand it totally since working in this industry for many years. Upon winning the award, I am uncertain if I will be standing on the stage again and all nominees are my former colleagues and friends. I know every artiste puts in full efforts and makes sacrifices. It does not matter who wins the award and what matters most is having this mindset.”

Linda recalled she used to be very nervous during the ceremony but her mindset changed after becoming a mother: “I accept all outcomes. At the time, I really enjoy the show without any fast heartbeat and sweaty palms. I feel happy for every winner and have grown up.”

When asked if her husband congratulated him, Linda replied: “He deliberately wakes up at 4am to watch the show and praises I look stunning but appear sleepy. I really feel very tired as need to take care of my son but want to attend the ceremony at the same time. My son watches live broadcast and will go to bed only after I return home.”

Finally, Linda emphasised she came back to Hong Kong to settle a personal issue and decided to attend the award ceremony, since the audiences and her fans wished to see her. She said: “Thank you everybody! I will work harder and might get an award after 10 years later.”
