Modern Dynasty (家族榮耀) drama starring Him Law (羅子溢) and his wife, Tavia Yeung (楊茜堯) is currently broadcasting in TVB. Both knew each other from filming The Hippocratic Crush (On Call 36小時) series and did not work together again from dating to married. In Modern Dynasty series, Tavia played his second sister-in-law and Him expressed he looked forward to their next collaboration.

In the drama, Rain Li (李彩華) acted as Him’s spouse and they did not know each other prior to the shooting. He said: “Beforehand, I told Raymond Wong (黃浩然) and Rain that Tavia and I had established consensus to behave naturally so as to reduce embarrassment. Rain pointed it was weird that Tavia talked to her only and ignored me completely. Although Rain and I have little intimate scenes, but we agree it is normal for husband and wife to behave intimately in bed. Well, Tavia is worse than me and has kissing scenes with Julian Cheung (張智霖) and Raymond. Julian suggested me to act as his replacement and I rejected the idea as we are professional actors. I feel it is worse that Tavia bit Damian Lau’s (劉松仁) tongue in Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles (名門望族) drama.

Him expressed his desire to work together with Tavia again and they were in a dilemma before the acceptance: “Production team did ask if we wish to act as husband and wife in Modern Dynasty series but we believe the audiences do not really like married couple in real life to play the same roles in the drama. For example, we feel there is no privacy when filming intimate scenes. However, some netizens want to see us playing a couple after the series is airing and I need to cheat on her as her hubby in the drama. I do not mind acting as a married couple in the series and try not to put our real emotions at the set.”

Mentioning about more conflicts tended to happen when a married couple worked together, Him replied it had not happened to them: “Perhaps Tavia is very understanding and we refrain from discussing about work at home. We do not really comment about our performances and give freedom to each other. In the drama, we always argue and forget about it once wrapping up.”
