The fifth wave of the pandemic is currently wide spreading in Hong Kong and the government announced all food businesses must be closed at night until 20th April. It causes a drastic impact to the businesses and they are forced to close temporarily.
Bosco Wong’s (黃宗澤) restaurant, Oystermine at Tsim Sha Tsui is also heavily affected. In order to sustain his business, he introduces affordable breakfast sets and delivery. However, it is a temporarily solution and Bosco closed his restaurant from 1st to 6th March.
Based on the information, his staff were tested positive last month and Bosco had thoroughly disinfected his premises for a week on 21st February. As the pandemic is getting serious, he decided to close his restaurant for a week. Upon replying to the media, Bosco said he suffered heavy losses and had not retrench any staff, and hoped the landlord would reduce the rent.
