The fifth wave of the pandemic is very serious in Hong Kong and there are 458,986 positive cases until now. During an event on 6th March, Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) expressed she was becoming paranoid and would check online if having a fever: “I wear 2 face masks outside, use disinfectant spray everywhere and do quick test everyday. I stay at home to train my dog so as to reduce the risk of infection.”

As her good friend, Nancy Wu (胡定欣) was tested positive, Elaine replied they did not meet up but keep in touch frequently: “I know Nancy is recovering well. She rejects my help as her parents are taking care of her and taking Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Nancy also said she had enough food supply.”

Elaine added her income was affected because of the pandemic and she was currently relying on her savings: “My friends from other industry want to borrow money from me and I reject them as we are not very close. (An outside company fails to pay remuneration to Ruco Chan (陳展鵬)?) I have a similar situation too. It is a health product company and they fail to pay the agreed amount based on the contract. Although it is lesser than Ruco, but it is 6 digit figure. Hopefully we can resolve it peacefully.”
